Advertisers
Fees

Commission Factory pricing has three components:

  1. A platform fee tied to your Technology Plan (monthly subscription).
  2. A network override on commissions paid to your partners (percentage of commission, performance-based).
  3. (Optional) A service fee if you choose a managed (Pro) or co-managed (Lite and Plus) Service Plan.

Because pricing depends on which tier of each you choose, your dedicated rep will build a quote tailored to your business size and goals.

Yes. Commission Factory powers programs ranging from sole-trader e-commerce brands turning over under $1M to global advertisers spending six figures a year on the network. Our Technology and Service plans scale with you. Start small on a self-serve plan and graduate into managed support as your program grows. See plans.
Commission Rates
You do. Rates are set in your program settings and you control them entirely. Our APAC account managers can share live benchmarks for your vertical, what other brands are paying and what's converting, so you can set a rate that attracts the partners you want without over-paying. Ask Nexus about benchmarks.
Yes. Set custom commission rates by product category, individual SKU, brand, affiliate performance tier, individual partner, geography or partner type (content, coupon, cashback, influencer, etc.). Build sophisticated incentive structures: pay more for new customers, less for returning ones; reward top partners with bonus tiers; protect margin on sale items.
No. Commissions are held for a validation period (typically 30 days) before they're paid out. During that window, you can decline any transactions that involve returns, cancellations, fraud or coupon-stacking either manually or through automated reconciliation rules synced with your e-commerce platform.
Setup
Setup runs in three stages: (1) account & program settings, (2) conversion tracking integration, (3) creative upload. We integrate with Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and every major tag management system (GTM, Tealium, Segment). Our APAC integrations team has handled thousands of setups for Australian and New Zealand brands.
It depends on your Service Plan. On the fully-managed plan (Pro), a dedicated APAC account manager runs the entire setup and pre-launch review. On the co-managed plans (Lite and Plus), your account manager guides and reviews. On the self-managed plan, our onboarding team and AI-assistant Nexus walk you through it, with support tickets answered same-day during AU/NZ business hours. Compare service plans.
Program Management

It depends on which Service Plan you choose and how experienced your team is with affiliate. As a guide:

  • Support (self-managed): 6–8 hours/week, you run recruitment, approvals, reporting and optimisation.
  • Lite (co-managed): 2–6 hours/week, you drive strategy and approvals; we guide and fill the gaps.
  • Plus (co-managed): 1–2 hours/week, we run partner activity and campaigns; you sign off and attend a monthly review.
  • Pro (managed): 1–2 hours/week, we handle everything end-to-end with weekly WIPs.

You can move between plans as your program grows. Compare service plans.

Yes through our Pro service plan, our APAC team runs your entire affiliate program end-to-end: strategy, partner recruitment, optimisation, compliance and reporting. For brands who prefer agency expertise, we can also introduce you to specialist Outsourced Program Managers (OPMs) and agencies in our network who deliver on the same platform. See the Pro service plan.
Switching from another platform
Switching to Commission Factory is a structured project, not a leap of faith. Our team audits your current program, replicates your setup on Commission Factory in parallel, communicates the change to your existing partners and re-onboards them, then runs both platforms side-by-side before switching tracking over. You'll have a single point of contact through the whole thing. Talk to our migration team.
The vast majority, no. As part of the migration audit we'll do a quality check across your existing partner list. The only ones we won't bring across are those that don't meet our network's compliance standards. Everyone else continues working with you on Commission Factory, with their performance history intact.
Ideally, six to ten weeks. That gives us proper overlap with your current platform and the right notice periods for your partners, the formula for a smooth move. We can rally faster if you're under time pressure. Enterprise migrations are bigger but not that much bigger. Most wrap inside three months.
Yes, at scale. Migrations within our wider group have successfully moved 10,000+ advertisers and 230,000+ affiliate partners between platforms. Migrated brands also average +11% sales growth, +11% AOV and +6% overall program performance in their first year. Just as importantly: Commission Factory itself has been a stable home for APAC advertisers since 2011. Same platform, same team. While others in the industry are now asking customers to migrate, we've stayed put, and kept reinvesting in the tech and service you signed up with.
ROI & business case
Affiliate typically delivers a lower CPA than paid social or search, but for a different reason: you only pay when a sale completes, not per click or per impression. In APAC, average affiliate CPA sits 20–40% below paid social CPA for equivalent product categories, and conversion is often 2–3× higher because partners pre-qualify the buyer through context (review content, comparison, deal context). Ask Nexus about benchmarks.
Reporting scales with your Service Plan, from real-time self-serve dashboards on Support through to bespoke executive summaries on Pro. The full breakdown of what's included at each tier is on our Service Plans page. Compare Service Plans.
Tracking, attribution & tech
Yes. Commission Factory supports server-to-server (S2S) tracking, client-side pixel tracking, and a hybrid model. S2S is recommended for any program serious about cookie-loss resilience post-Safari ITP/Chrome Privacy Sandbox. Our tracking is independently audited, and our team will work with your tech team or agency on the integration.
By default the network operates on a last-click model (industry standard), but you can switch to first-click, linear or weighted-position attribution at program level. We also provide cross-channel attribution insights showing every touchpoint a converting customer hit; paid social, organic search, content, coupon and cashback. So you can see where affiliate adds genuine incrementality versus where it overlaps with other channels. See our technology plans.
Yes. On the Plus and Pro Service Plans, your account manager becomes a working member of your team: attending your channel stand-ups, joining your Slack or Teams channel, sharing performance updates in your preferred format, and giving strategic input on broader marketing decisions where affiliate intersects. Many of our enterprise clients are in the same room as their Commission Factory AM sometimes literally, as we meet and work with you to optimise your program.
Every partner that applies to your program is reviewed and approved by you, or by us, if you've delegated approvals on a managed service plan. You can restrict applications by promotional method (no brand-bidding on paid search, no cashback, no deal aggregators), stipulate specific content rules, and set sign-off requirements. On our Grow and Elevate Technology Plans, the platform automatically flags partners using unauthorised brand terms, and our compliance team monitors trademark abuse and network violations across the network. Australian and New Zealand consumer law is built into our terms. On Plus and Pro service plans, our team is also a second pair of eyes on day-to-day compliance so you're not the only one watching.

Yes. Plenty of our top affiliates are creators that promote through Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Substack newsletters, Discord communities, podcasts and closed groups instead of a traditional website. If you have an audience that trusts your recommendations, you can earn commissions.
Yes. Your partner dashboard shows real-time clicks, conversions, validated commissions and payment status. You can message advertisers directly, grab promotional creatives, apply to new programs and download performance reports all in one place.
Commissions
Most Commission Factory programs pay a percentage commission per sale (CPS), with the network average between 8% and 10%. Rates vary by vertical. Fashion and beauty often sit higher, financial services often pay flat fees per qualified lead. You can see each advertiser's rate before applying. Browse the Advertiser Directory.
Validated commissions are paid weekly by PayPal, Australian bank deposit or international bank transfer. We support payouts in over 150 currencies. Payments are processed automatically once your commissions clear the validation period (typically 30 days).
Your dashboard shows a real-time breakdown of every commission. Tracked, awaiting validation, validated, or paid. Filter by date, advertiser or status, and export to CSV for your own records.
Promotion
Across every major vertical. Fashion, electronics, health & beauty, travel, finance, home & garden, food & beverage and more. The platform includes many of the largest brands in Australia, New Zealand and across APAC, plus thousands of smaller specialists. Browse the Advertiser Directory.
Text links, display banners, HTML widgets, email templates, promotional videos, exclusive coupon codes, product data feeds and a full API for developers. All available directly from your dashboard. Plus deep-linking tools so you can drive partners straight to any product page.
Agencies
General
Holding an agency account is free. We're flexible on commercial structure: we can bill you directly (you handle reconciliation with your clients) or bill each of your clients directly (clean separation). Most agencies start with direct-to-client billing and move to agency billing as their book scales.
Program Management
Yes. The agency console gives you a single login for all your client programs. Switch accounts with one click, view consolidated performance across your book, add new clients in minutes, and grant scoped access to individual team members per client.
Absolutely. You retain full control over every aspect of your clients' programs: partner approvals, creative library, commission structures, partner-level commission overrides, geographic restrictions and promotional method rules. The platform never communicates with your clients' partners on your behalf without your approval. Brand integrity stays in your hands.
Every agency gets a dedicated Agency Partnership Manager who's been working with agencies for years (not just account managers wearing two hats). You get: certification and training for your team, agency advisory board access, benchmarking and gap analysis on your clients' programs, VIP support, dedicated tech support and direct input into our product roadmap.
