AFFILIATE MARKETING BASICS
Affiliate marketing is a performance-based marketing channel where businesses pay affiliates, such as content creators, bloggers, coupon sites or loyalty platforms, a commission for each sale or lead they refer. Unlike paid advertising, there is no upfront cost. Advertisers only pay when a result is delivered, making it one of the most cost-efficient digital marketing channels available.
A tracking fee is a percentage charged by the affiliate platform on each transaction it processes. It covers the cost of tracking, attribution and payment infrastructure that ensures every sale is correctly recorded and the right affiliate is credited and paid. Tracking fees vary by platform and plan. At Commission Factory they range from 1.50% to 2.00% depending on your technology plan.
Costs typically include a monthly platform fee and a tracking fee charged as a percentage of each transaction. At Commission Factory, technology plans start from AU$349 per month, with a tracking fee of 2.00% on Core, 1.75% on Grow, and custom pricing on Elevate. Advertisers also set their own commission rate for affiliates, which is only paid when a confirmed sale is made.

CONTRACTS & RENEWALS
All technology plans (Core, Grow and Elevate) have a 12-month minimum term, referred to as the initial term. All plans are billed monthly.
You can cancel your plan during the renewal window at the end of your initial term. If we don't hear from you, your plan will automatically renew. You'll receive a reminder when your term is due so you have time to make any changes.

UPGRADES & CHANGES
Yes. You can upgrade at any time directly through the platform. Upgrades take effect immediately.
Yes. When you upgrade, the new plan pricing applies from the date of change. Your next invoice will reflect the updated plan.

BILLING & PAYMENTS
No, tracking fees are separate to your monthly subscription. They're charged as a percentage of each approved transaction processed through the platform: 2.00% for Core and 1.75% for Grow. Elevate tracking fees are agreed as part of your custom pricing.
