Spell is a modern-bohemian fashion brand, inspired by far-off places, vintage treasures, and childhood memories. The label is known worldwide for its gypsy-inspired creations that nod to eras gone by, and its story began with two sisters, Isabella and Elizabeth, who made things together as children in a house filled with artistic creativity.
The label began when Isabella (whose childhood nickname was Spell) started selling her hand-made jewelry at Byron Bay's local artisan markets. Before too long Elizabeth had an epiphany that she needed to be in Byron Bay with her sister, so left her Bondi Beach home and career as a film editor to become Spell’s business partner.
From there the label has expanded into fashion, accessories, and homewares, so women with that inner-bohemian spirit can have a little piece of Byron Bay with them wherever they roam. And when their roaming finds them in Byron Bay, a visit to the flagship store is a must, this is one shop that people come from far and wide to see!
The signature Spell look with it's 'gypsy prints', vintage-inspired lace, tassels, embroidery, and other embellishments, is now a cult-classic at music festivals, road-trips and island getaways around the globe.
